We will first go up the steep steps of the Chapéu Mangueira favela and then we will be in the Babilonia one. You will get all the information for you to understand why favelas exist in Brazil, I will speak about their history, their arquitecture and the way of life of its inhabitants. About 5000 people live in those 2 favelas side by side. Step by step, we will discover the magnificent view on all Copacabana beach. Once on the top of the favela we will start the little hike (30 minutes) to reach the summit of the Babilonia hill, from it we will also enjoy the view on the Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf. After a while we will go down through a differnt way to Leme district.

You need proper shoes to do the tour as there is a part in the forest, we can buy water on the way.

The tour lasts about 3 hours, you need good walking shoes and a light for the tour of the afternoon, the one of your smartfone is enough, just make sure you will have some batery.
